Very nice Bob. My Mom built us a Lionel H0 village every year for Christmas when we were small children. She would stay up all night Christmas eve and build a Christmas village with a snowy mountain/tunnel, lake, level crossing with slot cars, city hall, school, church, lighted X-mas tree in the town square. It was awesome!! It even had a horse racing track with harness racers on a slot track!!! She would buy all the bits and pieces in a shop in Paramus N.J. I was in Bergamo Italy last week and saw a Fleischmann setup and it reminded me of my Mom. I plan to buy a starter set for my kids this Christmas.
That’s a cool mom! We had a setup as a kid also – and I never stopped enjoying trains. I love the low freq response of a big diesel – that is some SERIOUS power.
That is our switching yard. Someday I might be able to get it to work.
